Birds

I had a very happy childhood; my dad was a keen environmentalist and I spent much of my time in the countryside by the sea or in the forests observing wildlife and especially birds. Some of these are on my ETSY shop

My inspiration for this Hippo is the little turquoise faience hippopotamus from ancient Egypt which is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Sheep

My sheep are wondering how they got there and what is happening. Some of them are in my ETSY shop

I try to make my tortoises look happy and they're often laughing. I use a copper-based glaze, the reduction process in the sawdust box generates an array of colours which are different every time. Some of them are in my ETSY shop
